	Under the education reform of the ministry of education, with the sponsorship of ADB and SEMP, we have got a Computer Learning Centre with 20 latest computers. This Computer Learning Centre was officially declared open on 5th of May 2006. And the same day Science graduate teacher Mr. M.T.M Aslam Sajah was appointed as centre manager of the School Computer Learning Centre. The government had initially intended to give about 1000 Computer Learning Centres for 1000 schools only out of about 10,000 schools scattered island wide. Our school became one of the recipients of the Computer Learning Centre owing to the strenuous efforts of the then principal Mr. M.I.M Junaid and the then the deputy principal Mr. M.A.M Nisthar. This is a boon to the students of Hemmathagama area with 20 latest computers with air conditioned room and worth of 3.5 million rupees. Earlier students of this area had to go to Kandy or Mawanella to study computer technology. Now they have got a chance to study computer science in this school itself with all facilities. The peoples of this area attracted to this school and most parents like to enrol their Children due this facility. The aim of the introducing of the computer system to schools were to teaches General Information Technology for G.C.E (A/L) syllabus in 2004 and Information and Communication Technology for G.C.E (O/L) in 2006 with other some purposes as follows. To teacher other subject by using the computer. (Computer Assistant leaning/ teaching) Self study using Internet. To help the pupils to learn information technology. To teach computer technology to the area students during non school hours. To teach computer technology to students who left school and the parents. To conduct workshop for students and teachers as wel Our present principal Mr. M.A.M Nisthar’s concept of “Computer skills for all” scheme has contributed in making so many programmes for the benefit of students of this area. Time tale has been made to get maximum benefit for the children. According to government circular extra activities have been arranged. Extra classes fro students who study Information and Communication Technology as a subject fro their Ordinary examination. To teach other subject using the Computer Learning Centre. Computer courses for G.C.E (O/L) and G.C.E (A/L) sat students. Basic Computer training courses for grade 6 and 7 students. Download and print the syllabus and teacher instruction manuals. Find out information related to teaching and learning process through Intern Up to now about 400 students and about 100 teachers had successfully finished their computer courses and had got certificates from our Computer Learning Centre. The students of our school are more interested to learn computer technology. For instance when we select students for ICT subject in grade 10 almost all the pupils select ICT as their favourite choice. But due to the lack of accommodation we have to limit the intake of students for ICT subject. Under the new scheme of the Ministry of Education through ADB and SEMP competitions are held with the sponsorship of Microsoft. Provincial Software Competition was held last year in which our school became second most software presenters in the province. In last year, our school students had got 80% passed in General Information Technology for A/L and 100% passed in Information and Communication Technology for O/L students. So we can mention that for most of the success our school depend on the proper functioning of the Computer Learning Centre of our School.
